We love new members, often have plots available and would love to have you join us! There are small or large plots in addition to the shared gardens and orchard.

  • Why should I become a member at BCCG?
    Apart from having a great sunny plot to grow your own veggies, you'll have access to our large communal garden areas and orchard, have use of all the tools and equipment you need as well as meeting like-minded people and feeling a sense of community!
  • What size garden plots are there?
    There are small, medium and large plots at BCCG. | Small: 1.5m x 1.5m | Medium: 1.5m x 2.5m | Large: 1.5m x 5m
  • How much does membership cost?
    Small - $20 (two small plots, $30). Concession $15. Medium - $30. Concession $20. Large $40. Concession $30. For group inquiries or other membership types please contact us to discuss.
  • What is required from members?
    Active use of your plot and contribution to the garden through working bees or alternative contributions (volunteer for the committee, working bee tasks completed at other times etc.
  • What is a 'working bee' at BCCG?
    We have a working bee every month on alternating Saturday or Sunday afternoons where members come together to do tasks that help maintain the lovely garden space. Tasks may include weeding, mulching and mowing, or putting up the bird netting in our orchard and often ends with some food we have brought along to share.
  • Can I become a member without a garden plot?
    You may join as a 'Compost' member allowing entry to contribute to the composting efforts at BCCG, however for access to any other BCCG resources you must be a plot holder.
  • How else can I get involved?
    Come along to our working bees even if you're not a member (check our Facebook page or the events calendar for exact dates, usually the third weekend of the month). Also, keep an eye out for any events we have on during the year and join us.
  • Who runs BCCG?
    Braybrook Commons Community Garden is an incorporated association. We have a volunteer committee who must be BCCG members (plot holders).
